Keio Plaza Hotel
July 30th
2:47am (Tokyo Standard Time)
I am wide awake in my hotel room running on what I can only imagine is a cocktail of caffeine, nicotine and alcohol tempered with a dash of endorphins and intermittent jolts of adrenaline. With our only "free" day in Tokyo finished and our official work duties starting tomorrow I get a distinct impression that I really this really is happening...
Image: Water Basin, Kumano Shrine, Shinjuku Central Park
Things I have checked off my list today:
✔Interact with a Japanese Toilet, ✔Visit a Shrine, ✔Eat Authentic Ramen, ✔Drink Beer in a Public Park, ✔Karaoke, ✔Buy a Basic Amenity from a "Conbini" Store
Joy, Ruby-Anne, Sihpo and myself are sitting round the table listening to Ruby-Anne read the first chapter in your adventure. So exciting and beautifully discribed. We look forward to chapter 2. Hoping it will be full on fun.
ReplyDeleteP.S. what is the basin for and where is it.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, I wish you all the best! Its 22:00 in ZA so imagine its stupid o'clock in Nihon right now. Thank you for injecting some relevance into the blogging world. I know it's far too soon but I'm already anxious to see more - a distraction from the ordinary and beige that surrounds us down here. Perhaps a feature describing some of the interesting knick-knacks you've stumbled upon; I imagine there's still a surplus of ingenuity over there.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes
